She attended a university around Rio de Janerio by 1990. At the time she was in school she began modeling and was still able to turn to her parents to pay for the schooling fees. In 1990 while she was 17, she met her future common law husband, Guy Laliberte of Cirque Du Soleil. After she was swept off her feet, she left Brazil with Laliberte, and moved to Canada. This choice created a significant rift between Rizia Moreira and her family. Her father cut off any support or college payments. Everything remained this way for the next ten years, while she was living with Guy Laliberte. Rizia carried and had three beautiful children. During that time she was able to maintain her pre-baby body, and appearance. In 2000 the couple split, and Rizia Moreria moved into a home in Montreal, Quebec with her children. This ended her common law marriage to Guy Laliberte.
During the separation an agreement was made for Guy to pay for the tutoring, nanny care, cook, child support and education. Rizia Moreira provided the nurturing and loving home to raise her children in.
In 2004 her dating life became more public once again. Rizia began to date Herbert Black a well known Quebec businessman. This whirlwind affair yielded a strong friendship that has developed into a more active part of her life, once more. Rizia Moreria has chosen to sue for spousal support against Guy Laliberte. After 10 years of marriage, she was unable to succeed in launching or re-launching her modeling career, which means she is unable to support herself and her children in the same manner they have become accustomed. Had they been formally married Guy would be responsible for spousal support. Due to the lack of marriage paperwork, common law marriage dissolution results in child support and needs but not spousal support. She is aiming to change Canadian Law. When Rizia filed for spousal support and chose to challenge the constitution, Herbert Black agreed to pay her legal fees; to date that has equaled well more than a million dollars. This spousal support challenge will see the inside of the Supreme Court, until it is settled there is a gag order pertaining to all involved. Because of this only scant information will known before a final resolution is reached.
